I do not pick up the violet leaf (and I am okay with that, lol), nor any of the remaining notes, really. Longevity and projection are modest for its 1980's contemporaries but this one lasts a good half day as a skin scent. Give it a chance hopefully you end up loving it as much as I do Wow! Bottle bought in 2014 Manly confidence and cockyness! Can't understand why people on here are moaning about it being weaker than before.
Smells like gasoline but good pleasent not too harsh. Leather Violet, some smoke with orangy smell in the background. I'm new to this fragrance and I have recently fallen in love with it.
It used to be nuclear, the current version is actually more refined, the huge edges are now sanded down so that it pleases more people than it did before. It's a cool, damp December day in Georgia and Fahrenheit suits it perfectly. With this fragrance I also don't care at all what other people's opinions are about it. It's screams confidence and, like I already mentioned: masculinity.
It's warm, leathery, powdery and manages to have a freshness about it at the same time. Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It? To be fare, I don't think every guy could pull this one off.

Just a quick performance comparison - this vintage one lasted 15 whole hours on the back of my hand, compared to the measly 4-5 you'll get from the current bottles. Saying that, I was always happy with it until I obtained an older bottle to compare it to. It's not exactly sexy which is, to me, more an invitation to the act.
I have several vintages, including one of the older ones where "eau de toilette" is as wide as the word Farenheit on the bottle, so 2002-2007, but I've yet to compare them all. I might not call this a 'masterpiece,' but it made/makes a great blueprint that seemingly so many other mens fragrances tried to copy over the years..why not? Starts off what smells like a basic (almost generic) men's fragrance, but then dries down (after about a mere 10 minutes) to where the individual notes really come out. I love fragrances with lavender, especially mens), I also pick up the nutmeg (another yay!! I do agree with the voting that this is mainly/especially great for the colder months, but I would wear this on a Summer evening. This is the sex act itself, already in full motion.
clearly fall, winter and spring but the magic happen in summer night! Song of this fragrance: George Thorogood- Bad to the bone Aesthetically speaking, a masterpiece. Every time I smell it, this composition transports me to some other nostalgic plane of existence, even though I don't have any particular memories related to the scent. If you need to search out the original formulation..enjoy."new" one is just fine!! However, current formula is much weaker than before.
There is the funky petrol vibe, some airy flowery notes, and leather. Alas, on my skin, it quickly loses the freshness and becomes a generic sweet leather scent. Anyway, this sweetness isn't powdery, dry or clean, but more like syrupy and a bit cloying, especially in summer. Recently, I've bought one in Sephora in Paris and must say that malheureusement it is just more synthetic and watered down (((( Very nice frag, but terrible projection and longevity.
Top notes are lavender, mandarin orange, hawthorn, nutmeg flower, cedar, bergamot, chamomile and lemon; middle notes are nutmeg, honeysuckle, carnation, sandalwood, violet leaf, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and cedar; base notes are leather, tonka bean, amber, patchouli, musk and vetiver. At any rate, it is very nicely done and gets a big love from me. But upon second and third and fourth smells I began to appreciate the complexity and the way this one warms on the skin.
I've reviewed this already, but have since acquired several vintage bottles, with the oldest being a 1994 batch. The smell is noticeably flatter in the current bottles too (by comparison). Oh, and even though this starts off seemingly heavy and seemingly like a powerhouse, this softens very quickly. The holiday spice mellows and some leathery and male body smells emerge.
It is still pleasant and comforting, the biggest shame in 2016 bottle is now noticeably weaker it is compared to 20, even to a Aqua Fahrenheit from 2013. The scent was so much different, I couldn't smell "petrol", I couldn't smell that masculinity and confidence I talked about. The image and idea of the 1980s commercials for this frag works, I think.
