I was so shock when I heard That My dad is not good and Been The Only child of My dad i think i need to see Him cos he’s the one left for me now .. A popular one recently has been “buyer dispute” from e Bay, since I have not used e Bay in about 3 years that was an obvious one for me to catch. Please never send any money to strangers, never login to any place through an email, always find the real bank online or login to e Bay or Paypal at their own websites. The internet is literally open to the entire world and there are many evil people waiting to prey on you and this latest personal scam is a new low of these disgusting crooks! Nigerian Letter Scam This is probably one of the best known online scams but it still manages to get people to part with their hard earned money.

To cut this short , I am On My way to Nigeria Probably In the next 8 – 12hrs cos I have book my plane . Most companies now accept these fake emails by forwarding them to “[email protected]—–” ebay, paypal, Citibank, whatever place you supposedly got the fake email from. Invariably you receive an e-mail, usually written in capital letters and starts out like this: “DEAR SIR/MADAM: I REPRESENT THE RECENTLY DEPOSED MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE FOR NIGERIA, WHO HAS EMBEZZLED 30 MILLION DOLLARS FROM HIS STARVING COUNTRYMEN AND NOW NEEDS TO GET IT OUT OF THE COUNTRY…” The letter says the scammers are seeking an accomplice who will transfer the funds into their account for a cut of the total–usually around 30 percent.

But, if someone is putting up photos of them doing things that maybe you’re not into, such as smoking or partying hard, then that can be a red flag. “The username gives me an indication whether or not this person put thought into that username,” she says, explaining that it can reveal a lot about someone’s personality and whether or not they are serious about online dating, or just testing things out.

Well my, my the oldest scam in the book has moved itself to the personals. I recently put my profile up on Yahoo Personals and I had a few people who contacted me.

One person sent me his email and I emailed him at [email protected]( if any of you want to send nasty emails to this scammer, feel free.) I was very suspicious when the profile of this so called guy named “Randy Hall” was suddenly removed from Yahoo. I got an email back later that seemed a bit weird, especially when the guy did not talk about anything in his profile and was calling me “dear”.

“It’s probably the most annoying thing when someone is using a meme or a photo that doesn’t clearly define who they are, hiding behind sunglasses or in a group,” says Ray, adding that the same can be said for blurry or unclear photos.

When you’re dating online, transparency and trust are crucial—and a clear profile pic builds that.

We asked online dating expert Carmelia Ray, who has helped more than 7,000 people find love over the past 25 years, to help us sort the date-worthy from the dump-worthy.

The Toronto-based matchmaker does everything from matchmaking to date coaching—and after chatting about online dating red flags, she had us totally rethinking who we say “yes” to.

“Poor grammar and spelling mistakes just show that this is how this person shows up, this is who you get.” Once you make it to this stage, things are starting to get real—but there is still time to take note of some red flags that might indicate meeting up for a date is not the best idea.

If someone messages you and then disappears for weeks at a time, it’s a pretty clear sign that they may not be as invested in the online dating process as, perhaps, you are. On the flip side, Ray says it’s a red flag (and could possibly indicate a scammer) if someone gets real romantic real quick, for instance saying how much they like you before they’ve even met or gotten to know you.

Swiping left and right until you give yourself borderline carpal tunnel, eventually matching with a few guys you think might be worth meeting IRL—only to find out during the first date that you have wasted your time on a total dud.
